Food

Breakfast is served in the conservatory with its lovely views of the garden, the Abbey and the birds and squirrels that live in them.

You can choose from a full English breakfast, with vegetarian sausage if preferred. However, if you would like a lighter meal, scrambled egg say, or boiled eggs, this is no problem.

Conservatory with sofaWe believe that it is important that vegetarians and vegans have just as good a breakfast as meat eaters and to this end we have two refrigerators to ensure that the meat is kept separate from the dairy, for hygiene as well as for the comfort of vegetarians.

We may also sometimes offer different breakfasts according to the season as well as our full English.

Coffee is freshly brewed from good breakfast beans, newly ground, and you can help yourself to as much as you want. The same is true of the tea, freshly made in a large teapot.

The conservatory from the gardenMaybe you would enjoy a juice, fruit and cereal breakfast from the sideboard where there is always a good selection, either to begin your cooked breakfast or for a lighter start to the day.

Bread is sometimes home-made and your stay may be greeted with the smell of newly baked bread - irresistible! Add some of our home made preserves to finish and you won't need to eat again for a good while!
